At Home Plate
Players who could move before August

The July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline has passed, but teams can still consummate trades. Players just have to pass through waivers before they can change teams.

There has been a lot of talk about this being a fairly active trading month because more teams who thought they were in contention will fall out of the race and because some teams who couldn't afford to make a move on July 31 could pay a smaller salary -- but receive less production -- for a player.

Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com lists several players who could be options to go during the upcoming weeks.

1) Doug Davis/Jon Garland
2) Heath Bell
3) Lyle Overbay
4) Justin Duchscherer
5) Kevin Millar/Nomar Garciaparra
6) Jamey Carroll/Mark Teahen
7) Carl Pavano
8) Arthur Rhodes/David Weathers
9) Miguel Batista

And a grabbag of other players: Adam Dunn, Ron Villone and Ronnie Belliard, Washington; Aubrey Huff, Mark Hendrickson and Danys Baez, Baltimore; Bill Hall, Milwaukee; Kelly Johnson, Atlanta; Jose Guillen and Ron Mahay, Kansas City; Bronson Arroyo and Aaron Harang, Cincinnati; Kerry Wood and Jamey Carroll, Cleveland; Kevin Correia and Kevin Kouzmanoff, San Diego; Russ Springer, Oakland; Marco Scutaro and Jeremy Accardo, Toronto; Jon Rauch, Arizona.
