At the top three hitters parks
Citizens Bank Park (Phillies): No games.
Great American Ballpark (Reds): 3. v. Cubs.
Coors Field (Rockies): 4 v. Cardinals.

At the top three pitchers parks

PETCO park (Padres): 3 games v. Rockies
Metrodome (Twins): 3 v. Red Sox
AT & T Park: 3 v. Phillies

Ratchet Them Up:

Max Scherzer (SP/RP, Diamondbacks):
The uber-hyped Scherzer dazzled in his major league debut last week and already has won a spot in the D’backs rotation.   He is a dominating power pitcher with incredible K/9 ratios.  There has been so much hype surrounding him that he’s probably already gone in 90+% of all leagues.

Moises Alou (OF, Mets):  Was activated from the DL and should provide the Mets with an offensive boost.   He’s likely to displace the slumping Carlos Delgado down to seventh in the order so he should get plenty of RBI chances.

Shawn Marcum (SP, Blue Jays):  Marcum is turning into a pretty fair starter and is way below the radar in most leagues.  He is 3-2, 2.70, with 35 Ks and a 0.97 WHIP should be very much of interest to anyone looking for pitching help.

Paul Lo Duca (C, Nationals):  He’s back from the DL and could be of help in catching thin leagues.

Clint Barmes (2B/SS, Rockies):  Remember how incredible Barmes was just a few years ago as the everyday shortstop for the Rockies?  He’s getting another chance due to Tulowitzki’s injury and the absence of a major league ready 2nd baseman.

Jimmy Rollins (SS, Phillies):  Should come back this week but still has pain in his ankle when he runs.  Be cautious about inserting him into your lineup.

Alphonso Soriano (OF, Cubs):  Is back and at the top of the Cubs’ lineup.  Activate him.

Jeff Clement (C, Mariners): The slugging young catcher is definitely worth a flyer in catching thin leagues.   He has 20 home run power and will get a chance to either catch or DH in Seattle.

Mike Cameron (OF, Brewers):  Returned after serving his suspension for use of a banned stimulant.   He’s still a 20-20 threat which makes him better than a lot of available outfielders.

Shane Victorino (OF, Phillies): Has returned from the DL and stole his second base of the season already.  His value is mainly in his speed but the little bit of pop he possesses is a big plus.

Scott Kazmir (SP, Rays):  Will return to the Rays this week from the DL.  His first start is likely to be today.

Chris Duncan (OF, Cardinals):  Now that he’s healthy again and is beginning to hit he’s definitely worth a pickup in most leagues.  He has 25 home run power and will bat somewhere between the number 2 and 5 slot.  That means he’ll either generate runs or RBIs.   He batted second in front of Albert Pujols on Saturday.

Ratchet Them Down:

Alex Rodriquez (3B, Yankees):  Was placed on the DL with a strained right quadriceps.  Expect him to miss 3-4 weeks.

Troy Tulowitzki (SS, Rockies):  Will miss at least a month and a half, but more likely will miss 2 plus months with a torn tendon in his left quadriceps.  He may need surgery which would slow his recovery further.

Carlos Gomez (OF, Twins):
Was carried off the field Friday night after taking a throw in the head on a stolen base attempt.   This might be nothing, but if he doesn’t play on Sunday I’d probably sit him this week.

Orlando Hudson (2B, Diamondbacks):  Is day to day after straining his right hamstring on Friday.

Jason Isringhausen (CL, Cardinals):  Has now blown three of twelve save chances and has an ERA over 7.  Something is clearly wrong.

Josh Willingham (OF, Marlins):
Was placed on the DL with a strained back.  He’ll be eligible to return May 13.

Jorge Posada (C, Yankees):
Will miss more than a month due to his ailing shoulder and he could need season ending surgery if three weeks off don’t help.

Jason Jennings (SP, Rangers):
Was placed on the 15 day DL but you weren’t seriously playing him, were you?

Yovanni Gallardo (SP, Brewers):  is probably done for the season due to a torn ACL.

Phil Hughes (SP, Yankees):  Will be out at least six to eight weeks with a fractured rib.

John Smoltz (SP, Braves):
Was placed on the DL with an inflamed biceps and rotator cuff.  He’ll miss significant time and almost certainly won’t return to the starting rotation.  He could end up the team closer once again.

Hank Blalock (3B, Rangers): Was placed on the 15 day DL with a torn left hamstring.  This could be 3-5 week recovery.

Barry Zito (P, Giants):  Has been demoted to the bullpen.

Hideo Nomo (RP, FA):  Was released unconditionally.

Ray King (RP, FA):  Became a free agent after refusing a minor league assignment.

Derrick Turnbow (RP, FA): Was released by the Pirates.
