At the top three hitters parks
Citizens Bank Park (Phillies): No games.
Great American Ballpark (Reds): no games.
Coors Field (Rockies): 3 v. Giants, 3 v. Mets

At the top three pitchers parks
PETCO park (Padres): 3 games v. Cards, 4 games v. Reds
Metrodome (Twins): 4 v. Rangers
AT & T Park: No games.

Ratchet Them Up:
Dmitri Young (1B, Nationals):  Was activated from the DL and could be a pleasant surprise as Nick Johnson is once again on the DL.  Young is a career .292 hitter with good power.

Bartolo Colon (SP, Red Sox):
Has had another great start in the minors - he’s not far from getting called up and could be an incredible steal in fantasy leagues if he’s even 75% as good as he was in 2005.  He’s expected to make a start this week.

Alfonso Soriano (OF, Cubs):  Is red hot and has hit 7 home runs in the last six games.

Alex Rodriguez (3B, Yankees):  A-Quad is expected to rejoin the Yankees next week.

Josh Hamilton (OF, Rangers):  Has been a killer with the bat and leads the majors in RBIs.  He’s the real thing and looks like a potential MVP candidate.

Joe Borowski (RP, Indians):  Should rejoin the club at the end of next week and should step back into the closer’s role right away.

Ryan Dempster (SP, Cubs): Looks like he might be a better starter than reliever after all.  He’s pumped his record up to a gaudy 5-1 with a 2.35 ERA, 48 Ks and 1.03 WHIP in 57 innings.  I’m beginning to think he could be for real. Dempster always was a solid starting pitcher prospect with the Padres.

Mark Ellis (2B, A’s):  Looks like he should be back sometime this week but just exactly when is still up in the air.

Jim Edmonds (OF, Cubs):  Signed with the Cubs and could get some playing time there.

John Lackey (SP, Angels):  Returned to the active roster and had a great start his first game out.  Plug him back into your rotation.

Brandon Boggs (OF, Rangers):  Has hit well enough that he’s earned a spot in the Texas Rangers lineup.  He showed 20 home run power in the minors but hasn’t had a lot of time above AA so move cautiously on him.

Hank Blalock (3B, Rangers):  Is likely to return to the Rangers this week after recovering from a torn left hamstring.

Mike Jacobs (1B, Marlins):  Should be back in the lineup on a regular basis this week.

Chone Figgins (2B/3B/OF, Angels):  Is expected to rejoin the Angels squad this week.  It’s probably not worth plugging him back in until you see him play a full game.

Eddie Guardado (RP, Rangers):  Is looming on the horizon as the next closer of the Rangers and the time might come sooner than later.

Ratchet Them Down:

Max Scherzer (SP/RP, Diamondbacks):  Is expected to head back to the bullpen with the recovery of Doug Davis who is expected back this week.

Mark Prior (SP, Padres):  is becoming less and less likely to make it back this year as a new injury has been discovered, a tear in the right shoulder capsule.

Rafael Betancourt (RP, Indians):  Has been demoted from the closer’s role due to ineffectiveness.

Jason Isringhausen (RP, Cardinals):  Was placed on the 15 day DL with a cut on his right hand.

Merkin Valdez (RP, Giants):  Was placed on the 15 day DL with an elbow injury.

David Riske (RP, Brewers):  Was placed on the DL with a hyperextended elbow.

Nick Johnson (1B, Nationals):  Was placed on the 15 day DL with a torn tendon sheath.  He’ll miss at least a month probably more.

Kevin Mench (OF, Blue Jays):  Ran into the wall while playing against the Phillies on Friday and bruised his knee.  He’ll probably take it easy a few days this week until he’s feeling a bit better.

Chuck James (SP, Braves):  Was demoted to AAA for the third time this season.  He just can’t seem to find his stride at the major league level this year. Also has some lingering shoulder issues in his rotator cuff.

Santiago Castilla  (RP, A’s):  Was placed on the DL with a sore shoulder.

Ryan Speier (RP, Rockies):  Was placed on the DL with a shoulder contusion.

Kyle Lohse (SP, Cardinals):  Has been struggling with a tightness in his shoulder and could miss a start or get pushed to the DL.

Curtis Granderson (OF, Tigers): Is struggling mightily at the plate managing just 4 hits in his last 41 at bats.  Even worse none of the hits have been for extra bases and he’s managed just two walks and one steal in that time.

Chipper Jones (3B, Braves):  Has some soreness in his groin and may need some time off this week - at the least he’ll probably skip one game of Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Mets.

Tyler Johnson (RP, Cardinals):  Is done for the year following shoulder surgery.

Justin Verlander (SP, Tigers):  Has struggled enough that he’s in far more danger of losing 20 than winning 20 games.  His last start against KC was solid enough, but he hasn’t shown too many signs of righting his ship.

Ryan Doumit (C/OF, Pirates): Was placed on the 15 day DL with a broken thumb.  He’ll miss at least a month.

Jeff Keppinger (IF, Reds): was placed on the DL with a broken kneecap.  He’s going to miss a fair bit of time.

Clay Buchholz (SP, Red Sox):
Was placed on the 15 day DL with a broken fingernail.

Milton Bradley (OF/DH, Rangers):  Hurt his shoulder while swinging the bat during the week.  He could end up on the DL but is likely to miss some time.

Rafael Furcal (SS, Dodgers):  Was placed on the 15 day DL retroactive to May sixth.  That means he could return in the middle of this week but probably won’t jump right back.

Jacque Jones (OF, FA):  Was designated for assignment by the Tigers.
